TITLE: DEPARTMENT HEAD
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Kentucky Certificate with proper endorsements.
2. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS: Principal
SUPERVISES: Other department members as directed by Principal
JOB GOAL: To act as coordinator and liaison with the departmental administration, parents and, personnel. To see that the members of each department work together to insure that each student has the background that he or she needs to pursue the career of their choice.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates implementation of the program of studies, attends curriculum and department meeting, and chairs Textbook Adoption committee.
- Prepares reports, records, lists, budgets, inventories, and other paperwork as required.
- Strives to maintain and promote professional competence within the department.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent.
