TITLE:                  ACADEMIC COACH

QUALIFICATIONS:      1.   Kentucky Certificate with proper endorsements.

                                       2.   Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find

                                                appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS:                   Principal

SUPERVISES:             Not Applicable

JOB GOAL:                  To provide instruction in academic competition.

To comply with conference, state, and national guidelines regarding academics.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervises participants immediately before, during and after meetings and activities as well as during travel to and from activities.
2. Participates in required training, activities, and matches related to extra duty assignment.
3. Conducts practice sessions, and may serve as official during academic team matches.
4. Plans and develops a written assessment and quick recall competition team following appropriate guidelines for league/tournament match.
5. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent.

TERM OF SERVICE:               Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:                         Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
