TITLE:     BUILDING ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:      1.   Kentucky Certificate with proper endorsements.

2. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS:                   Principal

SUPERVISES:             Not Applicable

JOB GOAL:                  To assist the Principal and teachers with the alignment of curriculum, instructional strategies with state and local testing procedures.  To ensure proper administration of district, state and national tests.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Attends required state and district trainings for state assessment implementation.
2. Views required webex trainings and communicates testing information to building administration and staff.
3. Assists teachers with the assessment process, including the writing process, open response, multiple choice, and portfolios (scoring and training).
4. Supervises process of delivery, collection, and security of testing materials.
5. Outlines monitoring schedule for alternative assessment requirements.
6. Collects required alternate assessment training certificates and required documentation.
7. Schedules and implements training on ethical assessment practices.
8. Prepares reports, records, documents, and other paperwork as required by the supervisor.
9. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal, District Assessment Coordinator, or the Superintendent.

TERM OF SERVICE:              Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:                         Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
