TITLE:                 HEAD COACH - STUDENT TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP  PROGRAM  (STLP)

QUALIFICATIONS:    1.   Kentucky Certificate, Emergency Certificate or Certificate for Substitute Teaching preferred; or

  1. Classified employee exempt from overtime requirements; or
  2. Meets the requirements for paraprofessional personnel.
  3. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

REPORTS:                  Principal and Technology Coordinator

 

SUPERVISES:             Assistant Coach, if applicable, and student members of Student Technology Leadership Program STLP

 

JOB GOAL:                 To provide guidance in technology projects.

                                    To comply with Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program goals.

 

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Plans and meets regularly with STLP students.
  2. Guides the STLP to develop activities which enhance the academic, social, emotional and leadership growth of the students.
  3. Supervises participants immediately before, during, and after activities as well as during travel to and from activities.
  4. Participates in required training and activities related to extra duty assignments.
  5. Supervises STLP students in planning, developing, and implementing projects for school, district, regional and state showcases and/or competitions.
  6. Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the STLP program.
  7. Provides STLP members with opportunities to form learning partnerships between students with different technology skills.
  8. Provides STLP members with opportunities to experience multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.
  9. Guides STLP students in the development and completion of school-level projects.
  10. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Technology Coordinator, Principal or the Superintendent.

TERM OF SERVICE:             Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.

 

 

EVALUATION:                        Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified or Classified Personnel.
