TITLE: HEAD COACH - STUDENT TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (STLP)
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Kentucky Certificate, Emergency Certificate or Certificate for Substitute Teaching preferred; or
- Classified employee exempt from overtime requirements; or
- Meets the requirements for paraprofessional personnel.
- Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS: Principal and Technology Coordinator
SUPERVISES: Assistant Coach, if applicable, and student members of Student Technology Leadership Program STLP
JOB GOAL: To provide guidance in technology projects.
To comply with Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program goals.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and meets regularly with STLP students.
- Guides the STLP to develop activities which enhance the academic, social, emotional and leadership growth of the students.
- Supervises participants immediately before, during, and after activities as well as during travel to and from activities.
- Participates in required training and activities related to extra duty assignments.
- Supervises STLP students in planning, developing, and implementing projects for school, district, regional and state showcases and/or competitions.
- Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the STLP program.
- Provides STLP members with opportunities to form learning partnerships between students with different technology skills.
- Provides STLP members with opportunities to experience multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.
- Guides STLP students in the development and completion of school-level projects.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Technology Coordinator, Principal or the Superintendent.
TERM OF SERVICE: Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified or Classified Personnel. |
