CLASS TITLE: SUB LUNCHROOM MONITOR
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Must meet Physical Performance Requirements
3. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may
find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS: Principal
SUPERVISES: Not Applicable
JOB GOAL: To supervise the school cafeteria.
BASIC FUNCTION: Monitor students and assure proper conduct in the lunchroom;
maintain cleanliness of food service facilities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors students and assures proper conduct in the lunchroom.
- Organizes students into lines for the purchase of food and disposal of food waste, trays, and utensils.
- Reports physical confrontations or incidences to appropriate personnel, resolves minor problems as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of food service facilities; arranges furniture as required.
- Moves around and circulates in assigned areas.
- Lifts and/or carries food supplies and small equipment. Other physical demands may be required, such as moving tables and chairs.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal, Director of Food Service or the Superintendent.
