ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

                                          

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    1.   Employed as classified staff or certified staff within district

  1. Meets all employment requirements
  2. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable

 

REPORTS:                  Athletic Director, Principal,  and Superintendent/Designee

 

 

JOB GOAL:                 To coordinate the schools’ interscholastic athletic and intramural programs

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicates and collaborates with athletic directors and athletic personnel.
  2. Maintains and prepares reports, reports, records, documents, budgets and other paperwork as required by the Principal or Superintendent.
  3. Helps monitor the eligibility criteria of school, district, conference, KHSAA and other member organizations.
  4. Strictly adheres to all laws, policies and procedures for revenue and expenses for School Activity Accounts and other money.
  5. Helps inform others of events, schedules, and needs.
  6. Updates calendars, schedules, and other information on websites as necessary.
  7. Helps administer the insurance program for school athletics, and ensures processing of claims.
  8. Helps create and revise reports for the athletic program for compliance with Title IX regulations, conference and district policies, KHSAA regulations and law.
  9. Obtains, reviews and preserves as district record, written certificates of physical examination for each student seeking to participate in the school’s athletic program.
  10. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Athletic Director, Principal, and/or the Superintendent/Designee.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing

Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations

Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching

Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light objects

 

TERM OF SERVICE:             Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:                        Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
